Muammar Gaddafi killed

muammar gaddafi dead body

above:  Gaddafi’s dead body was stored in a refrigerator at Misrata laid down in a cheap mattress

The longest-ruling Arab leader and the fourth longest-ruling non-royal leader since 1900, Muammar Gaddafi was killed last October 20, 2011 in his own hometown on the Mediterranean coast of Sirte, in the country of Libya after a 42 year long reign as an autocratic leader.   He has been an authoritarian ruler of his own country and he has been known for his brutality and madness even towards his people.

It was believed that what happened to him is due to a rebel cause.  Gaddafi has been shot on his head and the other shot to his chest and was killed out of rage because of his violence.  He has been captured by the angry and aggressive fighters who once have been called as rats by Muammar Gaddafi.

Going through the details of his death, he still suffered the madness of the people who were formerly part of his victims of his cruelty.  Upon struggling, with almost a half body full of blood and very much wounded, he was displayed through dragging him in a parade along the streets of Sirte.  His corpse was then placed in a walk-in refrigerator at a shopping mall in Misrata as a symbol of pride by showing to all that Muammar Gaddafi has already died.

Now, after Muammar Gaddafi has passed away, confusion reigns at Libya at present since his death is lack of clarity.  Also, his burial has been delayed by the Libya’s National Transitional Council to give enough time for the investigators to trace his death and to give ample time for the council to choose an appropriate secret site for his burial as well.  Nevertheless, a big blast announcement is to be made with regards to the liberation of the country tomorrow in Benghazi by Mustafa Abdul Jalil, the chairman of the Libya’s National Transitional Council.

WHO IS MUAMMAR GADDAFI?

muammar gaddafi female body guard

above:  Muammar Gaddafi together with his all-virgins female body guards and Ukraine`s President Viktor Yushchenko during the welcome ceremony at Libya

Muammar Gaddafi was born in a tent in Sirte which was only an irrelevant village to a tribe of herders.  Later on with his life as he became the ruler of Libya, his own country, he then made Sirte, his birthplace, as the second most extensive and largest city in the country.  He grew up to be an authoritarian person.  One who possesses the ability to overpower others, brutality, an individual who is strict and demanding when it comes to obedience, and a person who acquires a tyrannical attitude.

Apart from all of his achievements of being a colonel leader in Libya, showing great authority upon his people, few are still laughing at him.  Laughing but not in a sense of overtly criticizing him but instead, some laughs at his weird and strange abilities and characteristics.  Some of these are:

  • It was when Muammar Gaddafi was captured by a man wearing a Yankees cap.  A revolutionary military man known to be so dignified plus knowing that he’s in chase of a wanted dictator, wore a clothing like frat guys do, would really get you to wonder and laugh.

  • Another weird moment on the life of Muammar Gaddafi was about his obsession towards Condoleezza Rice, ex-US Secretary of the United States of America.  News really got into them and published their story in details.  The weird thing started to happen when Gaddafi invited Condoleezza Rice, whom she called his “African Princess” to visit and have dinner at his place, a tent actually where he lived.  He even composed a song for her and saved pictures of his princess in a videotape.  That’s something to be shocked about when talking about his madness.
  • A violent and a skeptical man like Muammar Gaddafi surrounds himself with dozens of female bodyguards and team of nurses.  His female bodyguards were into camouflage fatigues, with red nail polish and using high-heeled sandals, while carrying with them their submachine guns and nurses were also in heavy make-up. Well, that’s something to ponder about.  According to him, he is just showing off his love for women and his belief in female emancipation.

  • The facts, New York has been worst hit spine flu virus state in the USA.
  • The virus was started in Mexico, there has been considerable rumour that an attack could be launched from  Mexico,
  • Mexico is a stategic place to create a biological laboartatory due to the ease of crossing the US border.
  • Already operatives Al qaida operatives have been seen in Mexico and near the Mexican border
  • Potential carriers could get through the border police and spread the virus with ease.

"that there are individuals from countries with known al-Qaida connections who are changing their Islamic surnames to Hispanic-sounding names and obtaining false Hispanic identities, learning to speak Spanish and pretending to be Hispanic immigrants." , Culberson

  • Constant Al qaeda internet chatter about creating an attack on America with minimum preperation and maximum impact.
  • The Swine flu or H1N1 has potential to kill many people while reaking havock on the depressed American economy.
  • The USA is very vulnerable to a swine flu attack, so its important that there should be vigilance of an attack with the spine flu virus.

Al Qaeda stop at ski-resort

skiing pakistanCould this be the beginning of the end of the hard line Taliban / Al Qaeda?

The Taliban which is firmly backed by Al Qaeda in Pakistan have stopped all fighting in the Swat valley, which was one of Pakistans only ski resort.

They announced a ten deay ceasfire with Pakistani troops who have met up at the resort.

This area was once a great place for trout fishing enthusiasts before it became over-run by radical militants,

The current strategy of the Pakistani government is to achieve peace through diplomacy with Taliban and Al Qaeda leaders in areas which are heavily controlled by these militant groups.

Pakistan is under severe pressure in this region, were local politicians have had to flee the area such as the head of the Awami National party who had to move to Islamabad due to threats.

Every major ceasefire though with the Taliban has allowed them to re-group such as the ceasfire in the Swat valley in 2008 and the 2006 cease-fire in Southern Warisitan in 2006 which has been blamed on giving the militant groups al Qaeda and the Taliban a stronger position in the country.

US Justice Dept Supports CIA Torture

Waterboarding Torture

Above: CIA torture The Pentagon has recently made public a five year old Justice Department memo that approves of harsh interrogation of suspected terrorists. The memo is dated March 14, 2003. It was written by John Yoo (pictured below), who was at the time deputy assistant attorney general for the Office of Legal Counsel. Below: John Yoo John Yoo The memo legally justifies the military’s use of torture tactics against al-Qaeda and Taliban detainees overseas. The catch is that the torture is not supposed to be directly intended – which is stupid since torture techniques are all pre-empted as it uses different tools to inflict pain. The memo also empowers the US president in such a way that in times of war, as commander in chief of the army, the president cannot be limited by United Nations treaties against torture. Even the United States Congress "cannot interfere with the president’s exercise of his authority as commander in chief to control the conduct of operations during a war." According to the memo, "Our previous opinions make clear that customary international law is not federal law and that the president is free to override it at his discretion.” "Finally, even if the criminal prohibitions outlined above applied, and an interrogation method might violate those prohibitions, necessity or self-defense could provide justifications for any criminal liability," the memo added. This basically means that any interrogator accused of torture can use this memo as a defense in case he or she was charged with violating local or even international laws. The problem with backing up such actions with legal basis is that the same can be used against you. Surely, the international community, especially enemies of the West, will see this memo as a way to get back at the US and their soldiers. If I was al-Qaeda and I caught me an American soldier, I will surely treat him the same way that this legal memo allows his comrades to treat mine. That’s only fair, right? What makes US torture of detainees different from al-Qaeda torture of enemy soldiers – from the point of view of the terrorist? Mr. Jameel Jaffer, director of the ACLU’s national security project, said that the reasoning behind the Yoo legal memo puts "no limit to the kinds of interrogation methods that the president can authorize." The broad definition of torture in the memo means that any action of interrogation, inhuman or not, as long as it was not intended (which is very vague and can easily be denied), is justified. "The whole point of the memo is obviously to nullify every possible legal restraint on the president’s wartime authority," Jaffer added. "The memo was meant to allow torture, and that’s exactly what it did." To summarize the 81-page memo, it basically centers on whether military interrogators can be held responsible if torture is not the intent of the questioning. Torture, according to the memo, is the intended sum of a variety of acts, which could include acid scalding, severe mental pain and suffering, threat of imminent death and physical pain resulting in impaired body functions, organ failure or death. To us, this is how this means. If the interrogator caused only one or some of these painful, painful stuff and not all of it, then he’s good. If he did not intend to inflict pain, even if it caused impaired body functions or death, then he’s good. Then the memo goes and defends previous accounts of torture, stating that sleep deprivation, hooding detainees and "frog crouching" is not considered torture. Here is the best part. It says that foreign enemies held overseas do not have the same rights from cruel and unusual punishment that U.S. citizens have under the Constitution. The memo was rescinded in less than nine months. But the fact that it was in existence is scary enough. The current United States administration will always find a way to justify its actions, may it be justifiable in the international community’s eyes or not. Just last month, President Bush vetoed a bill that would explicitly prohibit methods such as waterboarding (pictured above: US protesters who are obviously not happy with the Bush veto, demonstrates the method to on-looking civilians and media). The CIA admitted to using waterboarding against al-Qaeda suspects. We hope that the next president will have enough balls (sorry Hillary!) to tackle this issue in the future – for the protection of all humanity!

Congo Rebel Leader Nkunda Captured

nkundaLaurent Nkunda, a Congolese Tutsi rebel leader, has been recently arrested. The arrest took place after Nkunda attempted to resist a military operation done by Rwanda and Congo.

Since 2004, Nkunda has been leading a Tutsi rebellion in the eastern portion of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The joint military operation was actually intended to pursue Rwandan Hutu rebels in Congo.

Laurent Nkunda  led an attack in Congo‘s North Kivu province last year, which displaced thousands of  civilians.

The joint statement of Congo and Rwanda stated: “The joint operations command informs the public that the ex-general Laurent Nkunda was arrested on Thursday, January 22 at 2230 hours while he was fleeing on Rwandan territory after he had resisted our troops at Bunagana with three battalions.”

Israel Completes Pullout from Gaza

pulloutThe withdrawal of the Israeli forces from Gaza Strip was recently completed following a separate ceasefire declaration three days ago from both the Hamas and Israel.

Even before the inauguration of US President Barack Obama, Israel had already pulled out most of its troops. The move was seen by analysts as something that would work in Israel’s favor as the US has been its key ally.

Former US President George Bush affirmed the right of Israel to defend itself from Hamas rocket attacks.

The offensives done by Israel on Gaza has killed 1, 300 Palestinians – about 700 of which are civilians, and left thousands of people homeless.

An Israeli spokesperson lately stated:  "As of this morning, the last of the Israel Defense Forces soldiers have left the Gaza Strip and the forces have deployed outside of Gaza and are prepared for any occurrences.”

Russia Ready to Cancel Missile Deployment Plans If…

Medvedev: Ready to cancel Kaliningrad missile plans if President-elect Obama scraps missile defense system in Central Europe.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said Thursday that his country could withdraw its missiles deployment near the border of Poland if United States President Barack Obama cancels the planned missile defense system in Central Europe.

According to Medvedev, Moscow had no choice but to react to the plans of the U.S to establish missile and radar systems near the Russian border.

In an interview by Le Figaro, a French newspaper, the Russian President was quoted saying: “But we are ready to abandon this decision to deploy the missiles in Kaliningrad if the new American administration, after analyzing the real usefulness of a system to respond to rogue states, decides to abandon its anti-missile system.”

Medvedev added that Russia is willing to reflect on a system of global security with the U.S., the European Union states, and the Russian Federation.

The United States has stated that its plan to establish a missile defense system in the Czech Republic and Poland is an important step to protect itself from ‘hostile countries’ nearby.

But Moscow considers this U.S. plan a threat to Russia’s security which is why it plans to send its own defense system near the area.

Medvedev is hopeful that with Obama in Washington, Russia and the United States will have a better relationship.

The Russian President had spoken with Obama by phone.

Israel calls for more sanctions vs. Iran

olmert

Olmert: "We must confront Iran’s malevolent diligence and thwart it with greater force."

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert of Israel emphasized on Sunday that greater pressure should be done to prevent Iran from a successful nuclear programme.

In a speech in Jerusalem, Olmert said: “We must increase our measures to prevent Iran from achieving its devious goals…Iran cannot become nuclear…Israel cannot afford it.”

“We must unite our forces as part of the international community, led by the United States of America. We must confront Iran’s malevolent diligence and thwart it with greater force,” Olmert added.

Iran has stated that its nuclear programme is purely for generating energy. But Israel and the United States believe that Iran is only using the programme as a front to its nuclear weapon development. Possession of nuclear weapons by Iran is seen as a serious threat to the existence of Israel and a warning sign to the world.

United States President-elect Barack Obama’s previous statement that he wants a dialogue with Iran instead of or alongside sanctions has caused great concern among Israeli leaders.

Olmert stated that Iran has not stopped in its pursuit of nuclear weapons. The outgoing Prime Minister even accused Iran of funding Palestinian militants as well as Lebanese, Syrian, and Iraqi gunmen.

Olmert stressed that further sanctions against Iran must make the Islamic Republic’s nuclear programme more costly thereby leaving it no choice but to give up on nuclear weapons.

Olmert is now a caretaker Prime Minister after he resigned in September. A corruption investigation prompted him to relinquish his position but he will hold the same office until a new Israeli government is formed early next year.
