Belgium is on heightened alert after the detainment of 14 AL-Qaida members yesterday, The Christmas market in Brussels is under increased surveillance and security also, as well as all main public transport areas. The US Embessy in Brussels stated there is an increased chance of an attack around Christmas and Easter and Holloween, essentially any time you ask them.

The 14 detained were planning to use an arsenal of weapons to free Nizar Trabelsi, a 37-year-old Tunisian sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2003 for his plan to drive and explode a car bomb into an American military cafeteria in 2003, where 100 army personal were located in the base.
