Thousands have gathered at the family mausoleum for the burial of recently assasinated President Bhutto. Here are a few reasons why this may have occurred :-

- Her father lost East Pakistan to India in the Indo-Pakistan war
- She has been elected twice previously as Prime minister and deposed both times on charges of corruption. These charges have not been substantiated and in a country where corruption is blatant, everyone is on the take.

After a few shots were fired, a suicide bomber detonated his explosives at a rally she was attending,
