Lee Kuan Yew: “There is conspiracy…”

Lee: “There is a conspiracy to do us in. Why?…They see us as a threat.”

SINGAPORE – The former Prime Minister and the founding father of Singapore stated that the country is the target of a conspiracy by human rights groups. Singapore is continuously being criticized for its style of governance.

“There is a conspiracy to do us in. Why?…They see us as a threat,” The Straits Times quoted Lee Kuan Yew saying.

Lee stated in a dialogue that the unprecedented economic growth of Singapore has sparked the curiosity of some Chinese and Russians, and has prompted them to visit and study the small but highly progressive country.

Okay, so it’s a no-brainer that one of the most powerful nations at present is America and George W. Bush, being its president, inevitably makes him one of the most powerful persons on earth.

At present, the world is having two major wars – in Afghanistan and Iraq. But is this really an inevitable war between or among countries or is it a war that America wanted and started? What exactly is the role of the US in these difficult times?

Finnish Civil War (CIVIL WAR OF FINLAND - 1918)

In 1917 the rule of the Tsars came to an end in Russia. With the Bolsheviks coming to power there, Finland became tensed. The middle class apprehended the fear of socialist rule while the workers of Finland took this opportunity to break out into a general strike on 14th November 1917. It was so successful that within two days they gained control of nearly most of the country.
