Israel Completes Pullout from Gaza

pulloutThe withdrawal of the Israeli forces from Gaza Strip was recently completed following a separate ceasefire declaration three days ago from both the Hamas and Israel.

Even before the inauguration of US President Barack Obama, Israel had already pulled out most of its troops. The move was seen by analysts as something that would work in Israel’s favor as the US has been its key ally.

Former US President George Bush affirmed the right of Israel to defend itself from Hamas rocket attacks.

The offensives done by Israel on Gaza has killed 1, 300 Palestinians – about 700 of which are civilians, and left thousands of people homeless.

An Israeli spokesperson lately stated:  "As of this morning, the last of the Israel Defense Forces soldiers have left the Gaza Strip and the forces have deployed outside of Gaza and are prepared for any occurrences.”

Rockets from Lebanon Hit Israel Again

rocket_lebanonFor the second time in a week, Lebanon yesterday fired rockets on Israel while Isaeli forces were still pursuing Hamas militants. But based on reports, signs of escalating violence still could not be established.

According to the police, there were no reported casualties in the latest incident although warning signs could be heard in the Northern part of Israel.

A few days ago, the same event happened but officials of both countries downplayed the incident as an action done by smaller Palestinian groups in Lebanon and not the Hezbollah.

In 2006, Israel and Hezbollah engaged in a war that lasted for about a month.

A Israeli police spokesman stated that three rockets hit Israel outside the city of Kiryat Shmona.

Lebanon authorities said that five rockets were actually fired but the two fell in Lebanon.

According to witnesses, Israel responded with artillery fire.

Israel calls for more sanctions vs. Iran

olmert

Olmert: "We must confront Iran’s malevolent diligence and thwart it with greater force."

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert of Israel emphasized on Sunday that greater pressure should be done to prevent Iran from a successful nuclear programme.

In a speech in Jerusalem, Olmert said: “We must increase our measures to prevent Iran from achieving its devious goals…Iran cannot become nuclear…Israel cannot afford it.”

“We must unite our forces as part of the international community, led by the United States of America. We must confront Iran’s malevolent diligence and thwart it with greater force,” Olmert added.

Iran has stated that its nuclear programme is purely for generating energy. But Israel and the United States believe that Iran is only using the programme as a front to its nuclear weapon development. Possession of nuclear weapons by Iran is seen as a serious threat to the existence of Israel and a warning sign to the world.

United States President-elect Barack Obama’s previous statement that he wants a dialogue with Iran instead of or alongside sanctions has caused great concern among Israeli leaders.

Olmert stated that Iran has not stopped in its pursuit of nuclear weapons. The outgoing Prime Minister even accused Iran of funding Palestinian militants as well as Lebanese, Syrian, and Iraqi gunmen.

Olmert stressed that further sanctions against Iran must make the Islamic Republic’s nuclear programme more costly thereby leaving it no choice but to give up on nuclear weapons.

Olmert is now a caretaker Prime Minister after he resigned in September. A corruption investigation prompted him to relinquish his position but he will hold the same office until a new Israeli government is formed early next year.

Osama bin Laden Says Israel Fuelled 9/11

Osama bin Laden

Above: Most wanted terrorist, Osama bin Laden

Osama bin Laden has just released a new message to the world. He vows that al-Qaeda will continue its war against Israel and its Western allies until it liberates Palestine. He also said the fight for Palestinian freedom was the most important driving force behind al-Qaeda’s war against the West; he said that it fuelled the September 11 attacks. The speech is entitled “The Reasons for the Struggle on the 60th Anniversary of the Creation of the Occupation State of Israel.”

“To Western nations … this speech is to understand the core reason of the war between our civilization and your civilizations. I mean the Palestinian cause,” said Osama bin Laden. “The Palestinian cause is the major issue for my (Islamic) nation. It was an important element in fuelling me from the beginning and the 19 others with a great motive to fight for those subjected to injustice and the oppressed,” he added.

“We shall continue the fight, Allah willing, against the Israelis and their allies, in order to pursue justice for the oppressed, and we shall not give up one inch of Palestine, as long as there is still a single true Muslim alive.”

The message was posted on a website forum commonly used by the terrorist group – El Ekhlas – you can search for the site and have it translated so you can view an intro that states: To the peoples of Western, now a new letter of Lion of Islam Sheikh / Abi Abdullah – Osama bin Laden – may God protect him. the picture above is actually a screen shot of the page where the message was posted.

The message lasted for 9 minutes and 40 seconds. The authenticity of the message is yet to be verified. United States monitoring group IntelCenter (a private contractor who has been monitoring al-Qaeda message traffic) said the audio message was posted together with a photo of Osama bin Laden wearing a white robe and turban. It cannot be determined when the photo was taken. IntelCenter said that the message was expected and its arrival was already announced by the al-Qaeda media arm as-Sahab.

He also added that international media has been used to create false stories about “the Jewish invaders, the occupiers of our land, as the victims while it portrayed us as the terrorists.”

“Sixty years ago, the Israeli state didn’t exist. Instead, it was established on the land of Palestine raped by force,” the terrorist leader said. “Israelis are occupying invaders whom we should fight.”

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel was not very happy with the new message saying: “We do not pay attention to the words of this terrorist lunatic. The time has come for him to be apprehended and pay for his crimes.”

It was a timely release. United States President George W. Bush just finished his Israel visit – to which many Palestinians were disappointed. Many of them felt that the Bush government biased towards Israel. The Palestinians marked this 60th anniversary of Israel’s creation with demonstrations and solemn ceremonies – very much in contrast to Israel’s joyous celebrations. Palestinians refer to it in Arabic as “nakba” or catastrophe.

The last message sent by Osama bin Laden was about two months ago, when he urged Muslims to support the recent Iraqi insurgency – saying that it was the best way to show support for Palestine and its people. He also condemned Arab leaders who were supporting Israel’s fight against Hamas and its attacks on Gaza.

Despite a worldwide massive manhunt and a $25 million bounty, Osama bin Laden remains free – free to command his al-Qaeda troops and free taunt his enemies through audio and video warnings issued via the internet.

Therefore one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the most skillful. Seizing the enemy without fighting is the most skillful.” –The Art of War by Sun Tzu

Hezbollah Declares War

Teenager Throwing Molotov

Above: Teenager in Lebanon, ready to throw molotov cocktail

Hezbollah has taken over western Beirut.

Hezbollah is a Shi’a Islamic political militia based in Lebanon. They first emerged in the early 1980s during the Lebanese Civil War. Before the faction was formed, they were initially from Musa Sadr’s Amal Movement. According to the group’s manifesto, Hezbollah has three main goals: the eradication of Western colonialism in Lebanon, bringing to justice those who committed atrocities during the war (their main opposition being the Lebanese Kataeb Party or the Phalangists), and lastly the establishment of an Islamic government in Lebanon. The last we have seen of the group at war was during the 2006 Lebanon War between them and the Israeli army.

The Western-backed republic of Lebanon has described this recent takeover as a “bloody coup.” The United States government has again made a statement renouncing the takeover and announced its support for Lebanon’s government, lead by Prime Minister Fouad Siniora.

“We will stand by the Lebanese government and peaceful citizens of Lebanon through this crisis and provide the support they need to weather this storm,” said United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in a statement.

According to them Hezbollah is killing innocent civilians. At least 18 people have already died in the recent attacks and clashes between their supporters and the Lebanese government.

The Hezbollah maintains a landline network in Lebanon. It was crucial to Hezbollah during that war two years ago against Israel. The Israelis jammed the wireless networks during that war. They did so to prevent the Hezbollah commanders from communicating with their ground units – the landline network remained and was used by their commanders.

On Monday, Prime Minister Fuad Siniora’s government declared the network illegal.

In response, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah said in a speech on Thursday that this was a “declaration of war.” He then threatened to “cut off the hand” of anyone who tried to meddle with the network.

Nasrallah maintained that the network was part of the group’s defense against possible attackers. The opposite side does not agree:

“Their goal is not security resistance. They want to connect between all the Iranian and Syrian militias and they want to eavesdrop on everyone,” said Telecommunications Minister Marwan Hamadeh.

We do believe the network is used for offense and not defense.

Now it has boiled over to an active resistance. The Lebanese government believes this takeover is aimed at restoring the influence of Syria and Iran.

“The armed and bloody coup which is being implemented aims to return Syria to Lebanon and extend Iran’s reach to the Mediterranean,” it said in a statement.

The United Nations Security Council has urged the rival parties to stop fighting amid fears of civil war breaking out.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said that the political crisis there was an “internal matter” and that they do not plan on meddling with their affairs.

His government has been widely speculated as assassinating former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri – using a ton (literally) of TNT to kill the PM as he passed a hotel in Beirut during a motorcade in February of 2005.

Hezbollah has taken over TV stations and other media offices, and has installed checkpoints on critical points around the city.

The urban warfare has shut down Lebanon’s seaport and all but closed the international airport, with burning barricades on major roads in Beirut.

It all happened to fast. We believe that Hezbollah has only been waiting for its chance to attack. It was only a matter of time.

Osama’s Deputy Calls for Worldwide Attack

Bin Laden Zawahiri

On Monday, al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri (shown in picture above [right] with bin Laden [left]), who is considered as Osama bin Laden’s second in command, urged Muslims to attack Jewish and American targets worldwide in retaliation for the ongoing Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.

The message was brought through a recorded tape, much like the two earlier tapes of Osama bin Laden who is calling for a holy war on behalf of the Palestinians. In those tapes he also warned of a severe reaction against European nations due to the republishing of the newspaper cartoon of the Islam Prophet Muhammad – which in my opinion is absolutely insane and proves to be a deterrent to peace more than anything else. The editor of Jyllands-Posten is a self-righteous ignoramus!

Anyways, these recent messages are directed at a broader audience. Al-Qaeda is trying to fan the flames, so to speak, of Arab anger against the West; trying to gain further support for their cause which is shared by many. This may mean that they are indeed planning new attacks against the Western countries; or this may simply mean that they are urging other extremists to do what they themselves want to but cannot do.

Al-Qaeda is obviously a crippled soldier. But they don’t need to be present at all battles. The terrorist group does not have a presence in Israel nor in the neighboring territories. This is the reason why most of their sympathizers in the region are asking for support… and this is what they are getting. More than a blessing of sorts, it’s an assurance that al-Qaeda is behind (so to speak) every attack against Israel and furthermore against the West. This is what I think the message is all about and Israel is at the worst end of it all.

Israeli officials are yet to comment on the message. The Israeli assault against the rocket firing squads in Gaza had reportedly killed more than 120 people, many of which are civilians. These attacks were all aired on Arab television.

“There comes a time when you have to back up your words,” said counter terrorist expert and Georgetown University professor, Bruce. “With the increased drumbeat of propaganda … it becomes an element of necessity — if you’re talking so much you have to do something.”

“Perhaps they don’t have the ability to attack the United States, so they may turn to the next best enemy, either Israel or Europe.”

Here is an except from the al-Zawahiri message:

“Muslims, today is your day. Strike the interests of the Jews, the Americans, and all those who participated in the attack on Muslims. Monitor the targets, collect money, prepare the equipment, plan with precision, and then — while relying on God — assault, seeking martyrdom and paradise. Today there is no room for he who says that we should only fight the Jews in Palestine. Let us strike their interests everywhere, just like they gathered against us from everywhere.”

The authenticity of the message has not yet been confirmed. But according to the early reports, the voice resembles that of al-Zawahiri when compared to previous audio and video tapes that has already been confirmed to be from him. The message was posted on a known militant Islamic website. Most of the al-Qaeda tapes are usually released in that said site.

True or not, it is definitely a cause for concern and should not be taken lightly, not only in the West but in other countries as well where Islamic terrorist cells are present — more so Arab nations (like Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan), whom al-Zawahiri accused of having a “satanic alliance” with Israel and the West. Al-Qaeda is definitely not dead, and they are once more calling for Islamic armed resistance.

IDF Counter Qassam With Air Strike

The Van Carrying Hamas

Above: The Van Carrying Hamas

In their fight against terrorist activities in the region (giving priority to targets launching the Qassam rockets into Isreal), Israel Defense Forces reportedly killed at least 12 Palestinians on Wednesday from a barrage of air strikes in the Gaza Strip. Sadly the report also adds that three of these casualties were children, one of them a six month old baby.

The first missile attack was on a van (pictured above) carrying five Hamas militants. According to military intelligence, these men were planning to carry out an attack against Israel; they were also involved in firing Qassam rockets into Israel and planting explosives.

According to local residents, these five men underwent training outside the Strip (either in Syria or Iran). They returned home after the border was breached in January. Apparently they were men on a mission.

This was confirmed by Hamas: the dead included a senior engineer (involved in the production of the Qassam rockets) and a commander of a rocket-launching squad (that fires the Qassam at Israeli targets on a daily basis). Below is a picture of Qassam rockets displayed by the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigade (the armed branch of Hamas).

The next successful strike was against a Jabalya refugee camp where one militant was killed. Palestinians in the camp were also believed to have been firing Qassams into Israel.

Several hours later, another strike near Beit Hanun took place. This is where the children were reportedly killed.

“If this claim is true, it’s a good reason to ask what these children were doing in Qassam launching areas,” said an IDF official in defense. “We have seen in the past how terrorists use children to pick up launchers that were used to fire rockets into Israel.”

United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice called for an end to the Qassam rocket attacks against Israel. In her meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, she condoned the action of Hamas against the Jewish state: “The issue is that the rocket attacks need to stop.”

She also stressed the situation with food supplies being limited due to the recent fighting. Rice said that “there needs to be due concern for the innocent people and the humanitarian situation in Gaza.”

“I said once again to the prime minister, ‘We were all sorry about the death of the Israeli university student,’” said Rice in an interview, “and affirmed to him that we will continue to state clearly that the rocket attacks against Israel need to stop.”

The Israeli student being referred to by Rice was killed by a Qassam rocket fired towards Israel from the Strip. He was the first casualty of the rocket firings since May of last year. Hamas claimed responsibility for his death – adding that it was done to avenge the death of their militants – triggering the series of retaliatory attacks by the IDF.

Israeli Airstrikes Continue in Gaza

Israeli Airstrike

Above: Israeli Airstrike

According to Hamas sources, an Israeli airstrike hammered down a Hamas base in Gaza, killing six militants and injuring ten more.

Israel Defense Forces confirmed they carried out the airstrike. This was not the first time in recent days that such an attack was made.

The move comes a day after a suicide bomber from Gaza attacked a crowded Israeli shopping mall. The bombing killed three and wounded several other civilians. The attack in Dimona was the first suicide bombing in Israel in a span of over a year. The military wings of Palestinian militant groups Islamic Jihad and Fatah claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing. According to intelligence reports, two Palestinians left Gaza across the recently breached border with Egypt and then entered Israel to carry out the suicide mission.

Hours later, an Israeli airstrike hit a chief leader of the Popular Resistance Committee’s militant wing – whom the Israelis blamed for helping bring down the securing wall between Gaza and Egypt. In an interview with CNN, Amr Qarmout described a week-long covert mission by Palestinian militants to bring down the border wall between Gaza and Egypt. The strike in Beit Lahya killed Qarmout.

Egypt’s security forces began closing off a section of its border with Gaza last February 3. Several days after, Palestinians started blasting holes in the said wall. Egypt has been under pressure by Israel and the United States to reseal the Rafah border to prevent the free flow of terrorists and weapons into Hamas-controlled Gaza.

US going to invade Iran, Iran Know Americas 3 pronged attack strategy. Propoganda then International involvement then WAR

Bush advises that Iran have been provocative in their manouvers. They have released shaky footage of speed boats approaching their Gunship. Sounds a lot like “Weapons of Mass Destruction”. Iran spokespeople advise that these things happen in international waters. So let’s remember that American rulers spent a year and a half getting the American public behind them before they invaded Iraq. Whilst Bush is going to Israel to visit his extremely large and productive base which he is going to use to invade Iran, under the guise of peace talks. When in Americas history have they ever brokered peace talks?

Below: Demo against Bush ‘War’ Policy

Bush LIES!!!!!!!

(Opinion)

We’ll have to think what America gain from the peace talks? More time for finishing whatever project is going on there? No better way to avoid attention than putting it in plain site under a spot light. At least Iran has some Nuclear material from Russia and China which they could at least use as a “WMD”.

Lebanon leader dies, Baaba Village Explosion

A 35Kg remotely detonated explosive laid waste to General Hajj in the Lebanon today, Syria are accused of planning and carrying out the attack so as to further destabilise the region. The pope himself was upset at the violent end to which Gen. Hajj was subjected condemning the murder and advising the politicians of Lebanon to unite. Syria advises that they did not do it and suggest that Israel did. This is the 9th Lebanese official to be killed in recent times, it is surely not going to motivate anyone else to stand up.

Gen Haaj. was killed just days after a meeting to elect a new President of Lebanon was postponed. However Peace talks between Israel and Palestine have just begun. These things are not officially related.
